This small town, famous for its many antique shops and antique markets most Sundays, definitely looks and feels different without the sun, the heat and the crowds of summer. L’Isle sur la Sorgue has canals and several working water wheels with lots of waterside cafés and restaurants to choose from. Even though it is so very different in the winter, it was still lovely to wander the Sunday market, pop into familiar shops and a favorite patisserie, and traipse down lanes to our lunch destination, Bella Vita. My friend had read a review of this little Italian place (with fresh pasta) at Place de la Republic. Great choice! As always, the flower seller, just in front of our lunch place, had a beautiful, cheerful display of a wide variety of blooms.

Hi ME,
How wonderful everything looks, your photos are so good. Cannot wait to go back there. Love everything! Did you have Larry’s Pizza yet?
love, Cynthia
I can just imagine all the delightful smells that go along with the boulangerie, the lavender, the olives!! Such terrific photos of a magical place <3
Thanks!
One of my favorite locations in Provence! Still beautiful in winter!
Feels funny not having you to shop with as I travel from place to place!
